Slimstick--not just a clever name

Gadgets, gadgets, all around, but not here in the United States. Darnit! This Slimstick I found is exactly what I need--it's small and portable and basically takes the place of a pedometer and then some. Pedometers can, for the most part, even though they are small in stature can be bulky as well. Also, you have to wear it exactly the right way and there's nothing but info that basically spits out and nothing else--you have to do with it what you will.

But the Slimstick not only does what a pedometer does, but it also measures all activity you do--sitting at a desk tapping your feet, feeding your child in their highchair, dancing in the shower-you name it, it does it. It even will start to see patterns in your activity and can tell you how you are progressing in terms of activity. Just think of it as a personal trainer without all of the therapy-inducing commentary. And it's so little--it's the size of a stick of gum--but don't let your kids around it or else they just may think that's what it is.

As I mentioned before, this is not available in the US, only in Japan, but I am betting it will be here soon. And it has a great price--only 60-70 dollars overall. So, that gives me an excuse not to exercise, right? Just wait until it gets here, correct? Hello? Yeah, you're right....I should be exercising right NOW. FINE! Be that way!
