Parenting Gadgets: Bebe Sounds Video and Monitor

You know, back when my boys were just wee little babies, we used to have the old Fisher-Price radio and little handheld device that you could go basically about 2 rooms or one floor above or below without getting radio interference and being able to listen to your baby if they would wake up or have an issue.

The problem was--how did you "really" know if there was an issue? I mean, you went off of sound alone--and sometimes that meant checking in on them when you really didn't need to. Well, have no fear, technology is here! Bebe Sounds has a video and color monitor available for an actually decent price--I saw it on pricegrabber for about 125.00--which to me is WELL worth what it actually can do.

Features:
Completely wireless with battery operation
Optional scanning feature when 2 cameras are used
Optional power saving mode for receiver
No annoying external antenna on receiver
Includes video cable so you can view your baby on your TV

My sister-in-law had a video monitor for her son up at the lake, and it worked wonderfully. The biggest issue with this? You start watching the video monitor more than you probably should. My sister-in-law called it the "BWN" (Baby Watching Network). It is a great investment.
