Let's go to the movies...Let's go see the staaaaaaars....

If there's one thing I can be thankful in terms of being a parent in this era, it's that kid movies are so much better in terms of quality and in terms of adult humor, it's almost as if I get more excited about different types of movies than the boys do. Heck, I'll even find if I am sitting here in front of the computer with the TV on, I'll change it over to something like "Barnyard" or "Charlotte's Web" even when the boys aren't here. One time I turned on Enchanted when the boys were getting ready as I was checking email and about 10 minutes later I got up from the desk only to see my youngest sitting on the floor in my office watching the movie along with me! :)

So it's no surprise as we get the boys after Thanksgiving that one of the big things I am sooooo excited about is that we are going to see Madagascar 2. We went to the theater when the original one opened and of course have it on DVD now, and I just love Ben Stiller's type of humor, which is why I am also a huge fan of "Night at the Museum". I just can't wait to see the comedy that will ensue along with the whole bunch this time around!

Do you think that our parents felt the same about the Smurfs movie and the "My Little Pony" videotapes?

No, I don't think so either.
