Kings Island, here I come! (Gulp)

Alright, so if it wasn't enough that I spent a week in and around Lake Michigan just a little over two weeks ago, now I am sitting in Cincinnati getting ready to go to bed prior to waking tomorrow bright and early to go to magical Kings Island. It's no Disney, but it certainly has its own ambiance and is a short 2 hr drive from our home.

This year, Jonathan (six and a half years old) will be able to get on the roller coasters--with a little help. When we measured him last night, he was a little over 47 inches tall. But to get onto the roller coasters, you have to be 48 inches tall, and since last year when we went he was basically decimated when he didn't get a chance to go, it's safe to say this little daredevil is ready to rock. So, with a little help from Stride Rite, we now have a bit of an assist from a new pair of shoes that puts him at the magic 48 mark. Beast, here we come!

Now, the thing I am waiting for is what happens once we get on the ride? I know it's easy to either be scared from seeing some of these marvels, but it's also easy to talk a big game as well. Generally, the way you are prior to the event, the less likely that you are when it actually occurs--so I am nervous that once the ride starts click-click-clicking its way up the huge hill that the loud screaming you will hear will be from none other than the J-man himself. My wife is confident he'll be just fine, but I think I'll just sit a few seats back just in case to save my hearing....

Update tomorrow night :)
