Going with the Flow

M. Small is an inherently helpful individual. Whatever I'm working on around the house, he wants to help. In most cases, this "help" requires such close supervision that I have to choose between actually getting the job done or fishing screws out of the floor vent, but I appreciate the fact that he wants to be involved.

Now that it's spring and I have to water the lawn daily, he's got something that he loves to help me with more than anything. As long as he can hold the hose, he's happy. Not to say his technique is perfect yet; he has a tendency to water onetinyspot in the yard until it turns into a small lake and then stomp his feet in it. But the rest of the yard gets a good watering as well. Especially if I managed to get it watered before he came out to help in the first place.
