Gadgets for New Parents: Voice Activated Crib Light

With us spending the last week up at the lake with my sister/brother in law and her 4 month old boy, they had some pretty nifty gadgets they had as well as some old reliables, and it got me thinking of the world that is out there for new parents that I didn't have for the boys. I came across this voice activated crib light and almost cried myself--wishing I would have had this availability!

Evidently, the way it works is that if the baby becomes restless during the night, whereas most parents would have to get up from their slumber and comfort the baby, this turns on a soft light that basically can be set to play womb sounds or just function as a night light. Now, with very young babies, I would think this would be a godsend. As the children would get a bit older, say 6-12 months though, I don't think this would be as effective.

Of course, who am I kidding? We had it easy compared to the vast majority of parents--whereby both boys were 10 hour sleepers by the time they were six weeks old. Yeah, I know, don't hate the player--hate the game!! :) For more info on this, go here.
