I think M. Edium picked this up at Montessori School: repeatedly clicking his tongue.

Fortunately he hasn't been doing it long enough for it to become annoying instead of cute, but it's become something of an all-purpose tic for him. He does it to get someone's attention, to soothe himself when he's anxious, to entertain himself when he's bored, and as a substitute for almost all forms of communication. Last weekend he put it to a new use: flirting with the ladies.

Granted, they thought it was cute, but I don't care how good-looking he is. If he keeps that up, his teen years aren't going to be the maelstrom we've been fearing.
