2008 Hot Christmas Toys: Fisher Price Kid Tough DVD Player

Taking yet another page out of the "Kid Tough" line of Fisher-Price toys, this toy hits on the DVD circuit, and with some dazzling colors and display that would grab any child's attention, this is sure to be a big seller this Christmas. F-P certainly has taken the combination of technology with the behavior of a child and their rough-and-tough ways. Here's the description:

The Kid-Tough Portable DVD Player is the first portable DVD player that is tough and easy enough for kids to use. It is designed to be kid-tough and survive drop after drop after drop. It features a 3.2" color TFT screen, rechargeable batteries with 2 hours of life, battery charger or wall power unit, sturdy dual-rail DVD drive, digital anti-skip buffer for the ultimate kid-tough viewing experience, dual grip handles, kid-friendly DVD door and DVD controls, CD playback capability, handle for portability, kick stand legs for hands free viewing, video out jack and headphone jack.

The reviews on this have been extremely favorable despite the price tag, which is well over 150.00. While that's not anything that's a super surprise with a portable DVD player, it's certainly not in a lot of people's budgets in this very tight economy. Is it worth it? According to those that have it, yes. Good things my boys are pretty well grown up and know how to care for things!

Well I like the idea of this player - my son received his for Christmas - and it stopped working 3 days later, we returned that one and got a new one, that worked for about one hour. Very disappointing. I've read other reviews with the same story as mine.
