2008 Hot Christmas Toys: Fisher Price Kid Tough Digital Camera

Do you have a budding shutterbug? Want to introduce your child into the world of digital technology but not spend a ton? Well, you may be interested in the Fisher Price Kid Tough Digital Camera. Let's face it, kids are SO not easy on toys or really anything, for that matter, so this digital camera is extra tough to withstand drops and the like.

Here are some of the specs:
Kids can pick between using the live view on a 1.5-inch color LCD preview screen or looking through the two-eye viewer when taking pictures. The preview screen also lets kids look at pictures the moment after they take them. With a built-in flash that automatically illuminates darkened scenes, and a shutter noise that makes it easy to know when a picture has been taken, kids are sure to be delighted by their images.

The 64 MB built-in memory stores up to 500 pictures and eliminates the need for handling fragile and expensive memory cards. Two image resolution settings, 0.3 and 1.3 interpolated mega pixels, let kids take tons of pictures and make 4 x 6-inch prints.

I also took a look at the quality of the camera, and while it won't challenge a Sony or Nikon anytime soon, that's not the point--it's actually pretty darn good, and with a price tag of a little over 50.00 MSRP, it's sure to be a hit this year.
